The sign ups for the Destiel Advent Calendar are officially open!
Do you enjoy writing fluffy pieces of work where the lovers in your story live happily ever after? Do you enjoy seeing pictures of your favourite angel and human duo snuggled up together on the fireside? Do you want to make something that will make another person’s day that much better? Well, why not take part in the Destiel Advent Calendar!
We’re doing it a little differently this year, so read all the information carefully!
Everyone who wants to participate can!
The deadline for this years sign ups is a whole 2 weeks! You have until the 30th September to sign up and start working.
To sign up, please send me an email at destieladventcalendar@yahoo.com. The information you’ll need to provide is as follows:
- Name
- Your preferred pronouns
- Your URL – please include any changes to your url that you plan to make. If you do change your URL for the holidays, I would highly recommend you create a redirect page on your original URL.
- What you plan on making
The only requirements for your piece is that it ends happily/is fluffy and is related to Christmas in some way!
Everyone will have until the 13th November to make their piece, giving you over a month to create what you want! Please send it to the above email address before or on that date to get yourself a spot on the main advent! If you would like it to be posted on a certain day, please inform me, otherwise it will be put up on whatever day is suitable. If it a fic with multiple parts, please send in each part on a separate document if possible.
! – If the piece requires it to be linked to another website, such as AO3 or 8tracks, please inform me in your initial sign up email. If you wish to upload the piece onto the website before the date that it’s been assigned, that is absolutely fine. My only request is that it’s up at least a day before it is set to go up on the calendar and that you send me a link to it! If the piece does end up going on a site outside of tumblr, I only ask if you could briefly mention that it will be up on the Destiel Advent Calendar.
But what happens if you miss the 2 week deadline? What happens if it’s the 10th of December and you’ve only just found the blog but have the most perfect idea? If you send me an email, though you won’t be on during the advent days, your piece may still be published on Christmas day! My only request is that you get it to me no later than the 20th December. Any pieces that are sent to me after this date may still post on Christmas Day, but I have no promises!
