okay but once the Stuffy Old English™
flavored men of letters get their britches untwisted, lady toni bevell is totally going to get semi-permanently assigned to fucking kansas to help sam and dean reestablish a real chapterhouse
consider:
- toni grumpily and with much ado digging out all the property deeds, architectural plans, inventories, dealing with the plumbing and gas and electric, while dean and mary are aggressively unhelpful and sam goes behind their backs to pitch in (he has a healing bullet wound in his ass but is also Incurably Nice)
- toni being deeply, deeply disdainful of their internet research methods and insisting on Only the Lore when they take on cases
- toni in turn being absolutely appalled by what demon!dean did to the filing system and staying up for days to fix it; dean loudly and repeatedly offering to fetch the smelling salts but mostly bringing her tea because he is also Incurably Nice
- toni treating john’s journal like an anthropologist who wasn’t previously aware this tribe had a written language
- toni still spending inordinate amounts of time translating it into Accepted Men of Letters Archival Types; sam getting this weird, strangely proud feeling when he runs across a record with ‘john winchester’ listed as the researcher
- toni and sam bonding over transcribing the winchester bros’ 12+ years of insane hunting batshittery; mary and dean joining in and treating it like the excellent chance to drink booze and shoot the shit it is
- toni spending a lot of this boozy bonding time exclaiming, “And then you just shot it?” + cas spending a lot of this boozy bonding time looking highly alarmed and amazed dean lived as long as he did before his first trip to hell
- toni on surreptitious skype dates with her son; mary getting significantly less salty once she’s stumbled across a few of these
- toni, who hails from jolly old Bannedthegunland and so very obviously Doesn’t Like Violence, catching a glimpse of the Impala’s trunk and going into extended Mrs. Bennett-style histrionics while mary and the boys roll their eyes right out of their sockets
- toni while she’s reorganizing finding dozens of things on timetables like the chitters, sending sam and dean out to deal with them on a near-weekly basis
- dean: “we’re not your freakin’ flying monkeys!”
- toni: “well, if you kept better records—”
